لوگ اکثر غیر منطقی، غیر معقول، اور خود تک محدود ہوتے ہیں۔
(تاہم، آپ کو چاہیئے کہ) پھر بھی انہیں معاف کر دیں۔
اگر آپ مہربان ہیں، (تب بھی ممکن ہے کہ) لوگ آپ پر خود غرض مقاصد کے حصول کا الزام لگا سکتے ہیں ۔
(بہرحال، آپ کو چاہیئے کہ) پھر بھی مہربانی (کا رویہ) روا رکھیں۔
اگر آپ کامیاب ہو جاتے ہیں، تو آپ کو کچھ جعلی دوست اور کچھ سچے دشمن (ضرور) ملیں گے۔
(اس سب کے باوجود) پھر بھی کامیاب ہوتے جائیں۔
اگر آپ ایماندار اور کھلے دل والے (صاف گو) ہیں، تو (ممکن ہے کہ) لوگ آپ کو دھوکا دے سکتے ہیں۔
(مگر پھر بھی آپ) ایماندار اور کھلے دل والے (ہی) رہیں۔
جو (مقام/عمارت) بنانے میں آپ کئی سال لگا دیتے ہیں، کوئی (اس ساری محنت کو) راتوں رات (بِنا کسی احساس کے) برباد کر سکتا ہے ۔
(ایسی صورت میں بھی بغیر رُکے) آپ تعمیر کرتے (اور آگے بڑھتے) بنائیں۔
(ممکن ہے کہ) اگر آپ کو امن و سکون اور خوشی ملے، تو وہ لوگ حسد کرنے لگ جائیں۔
(پر پھر بھی) آپ ہر حال میں خوش رہیں۔
(وہ بھلائی اور ) اچھائی جو آپ آج کرتے ہیں، لوگ اکثر کل کو (مقصد پورا ہو جانے پر) اسے بھول جائیں گے۔
پھر بھی آپ بھلائی (کے کام) کرتے رہیں۔
(اپنی طرف سے) دنیا کو وہ دیں جو (آپ کے پاس) بہترین ہے ، اور شاید کبھی کافی نہ ہو۔
(خیر، آپ کا کام تو بس اتنا ہے کہ) آپ کے پاس جو بہترین ہے، وہ بانٹتے جائیں۔
(قصہ مختصر) آپ دیکھیں، آخرِ کار جب (ہم سب) غور کریں، تو یہ (ہر طرح کے رویے کے باوجود بھلائی کرتے ہوئے آگے بڑھتے جانا) آپ کے اور خدا کے درمیان ہے؛
(تو جان لیجیئے کہ) یہ کبھی آپ اور ان (انسانوں) کے درمیان تھا ہی نہیں۔

4. Analyze and interpret the meaning of the following phrases;
- a). ‘Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough. Give the best you’ve got anyway.’
- b). ‘The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow. Do good anyway.’
- c). ‘You see, in the final analysis it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.’

Your task is to write a character sketch of Mother Teresa. She was a famous humanitarian. The steps below will guide you as you write the description. You can also research about her work and achievements.
Steps to write a character sketch
- 1. Focus on specific features of a character’s appearance and leave the readers to infer what their appearance suggest about the characters.
- 2. Divide your description into four paragraphs. Each paragraph should touch on something different about the character. For example, in first paragraph, describe the character’s appearance. In the second paragraph, focus on her work and in the third one, talk about her achievements. In the last paragraph, you can talk about the message she has given to promote peace in the world.
Character Sketch of Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa was a small, gentle woman who looked very calm and peaceful. She had kind eyes and hands that had worked hard for many years.
